Playing the game
How do I pick my team?
Easy, just register with Starting 11 and head over to My Team to start picking your players.
How many transfers can I have?
You have unlimited transfers throughout the season.
How does my bank balance work?
Everyone gets a £100m bank balance at the start of the season to spend on Fantasy Football players. This £100m is capped and you will never be able to have more than £100m in your bank account.
How do I know if a players price has changed.
In the My Team page, each of your fantasy players will have a price column, and a change column. The price column details the price at which you bought that particular player, and the change column indicates any change in price of that player. Price increases will be green e.g. £1.25m indicates that that particular players price has increased, and similarly (£2.34) indicates a drop in that particular players price.
Can I make a profit when I sell players whose price has increased?
No, Starting 11 adopts a £100m salary cap to pick your Fantasy Football team. When you sell a player who has gone up in value since you bought him (indicated by a green value in the Change column) you will only receive back the price at which you bought that player, hence you will never be able to have more than £100m in your bank account.
How do I add a player to my team?
You manage your Fantasy Football team on the My Team page. You will see that there are 11 slots to be filled, and against each slot their is an Actions column on the far left, here click the gold arrow to add a player to your team. You will then be directed to a list of valid players available in that position for your to choose from.
How do I drop a player to my team?
You manage your Fantasy Football team on the My Team page. If you wish to drop a player from your team them you need to click the red arrow in the Actions column on the far left, this will then take you to the drop player page.
How do I swap players?
You manage your Fantasy Football team on the My Team page. If you wish to swap a player for another player in the same position then need to click the blue circulating arrows in the Actions column on the far left, this will then take you to the swap player page where you will be presented with a list of valid players that you can swap into your team.
How does my team score points?
You will earn points based on how well the players in your Starting 11 perform each week. Please see the
Starting 11 Scoring page for details on how points are awarded.
Can I have more than one team?
Only one team per member is allowed.
What does the @ symbol mean in the opponent column?
The @ symbol represents an away game.
Will I still earn points if I do not pick all 11 players?
No, your team will earn zero points if you field less than 11 players in any given week.

Points and price updates
When do the points get updated?
The points will be updated as soon as we have processed all the stats from any given match. This should always happen within 24 hours of the final whistle.
When do player prices get updated?
Player prices will be updated 24 hours after the final whistle, this will give everyone a fair chance to play the pre-update game.
How are player prices calculated?
Player prices are calculated using a special Starting 11 pricing algorithm. This algorithm analyses each player's recent performance and compares that to the market, adjusting price accordingly.
What happens if a player misses a game, how does this effect his price?
Generally an injured or suspended players price will not change dramatically. There may be slight fluctuations due to other player performance but no dramatic jumps.

How do I change my team name?
You can change your team name via your My Profile page.
How can I add a Starting 11 link to my website?

When do new players get added to the game?
New players will be added to the game as soon as their transfer is confirmed. If you notice a player that is missing from the player list then please contact us.
What do I do if I forget my password to login?
Don't worry, you can reset your password and we send it out to your email address. Reset your password
