Mendy on the citeh US tour, hell of a turnaround and no holiday! laugh.gif I guess he could regard the WC as a holiday given all he did was a bit of training. biggrin.gif

Has to be a consideration @LB? Robbo or Mendy?

Gunn might get the Southampton keeper spot...might be a bargain IF he gets the nod

I believe McCarthy has just signed a bumper deal and has been given the number 1 shirt. Forster looks like he's heading out the door so there's a good 9.0 thing going there but Brighton have the perfect 8.5 combo and if you want Cedric it's probably a bit much having their 2 keepers too.

Given citeh won't be at full strength early doors what with the WC I think Robbo is probably the better 6 until citeh settle down and we see what's what.

If they get Alisson then that makes Robbo even better c/s wise although tbf Karius did get a lot of cleanies.

Same here, need to be more patient. Might set-up some rules to stick to! laugh.gif If I don't I'll make the same mistakes all over again.

Many will go DDG or Ederson but that's 10 or 9.5 minimum. Fab got 157pts in a relegated side, Ryan 146. These numbers are up there with the best on value. Ryan & Steele for 8.5 is a real tempter

Hows it going Netters hope all is good after the WC has ended, I done shite in that, no matter what I done transfer wise I was treading black treacle in there, changed me plimsolls now though for me superlight FPL tranny's biggrin.gif ha ha

You'll break yourself trying to stick to rules laugh.gif

DDG and Fab's is the set and forget option, probably a mil more than I would normally spend in that position, but looking back over the last couple of seasons at my own goalkeeper stats, it seems like I need a more stable keeper option, perhaps this combo is it, if not could always rob that position later and gain a mil or more..Hmmm thinking.gif

Fabs with that Spammer backline in front of him doesn't inspire confidence but ok as a backup to DDG when needed wink.gif

Okay, the ones I'm happy with atm and the ones I'm a bit wobbly on;

2 Ryan & Button - 8.5 for perfect back-up, 2 good keepers in a fairly tight side, set & forget
3 Robertson - Looks good for the 1st few rounds, may become Mendy or Emerson when fixtures stiffen.
4 Coleman - Attacking type in an attacking side, those fixtures!
6 Cedric & Tomkins - They look the best 4.5's right now
7 Any 4m starter, should be at least 1 from Bennett, AWB & Peltier
8 Salah - The class act
9 Mahrez - Should get the early doors starts
10 Chalobah - Looks the best 4.5 as Masuaku is destined at best for LB not LWB or LW
11 Aguero - If he's fit & firing he tends to start, could shift to Auba when his fixtures improve
12 Firmino - Quality sub-10
13 Zaha - Just edges the other 7's, big fish small pond and nice price point
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wobblers

1 Walcott - Starting to think a Siggy playing 10 is the real value, mill more though but nice price point
2 Jota - If Siggy comes in, he becomes Cairney + 0.5 cash?

2 x 6.5 is iffy, price points are horrible for say Mkhi/Rambo when fixtures turn

Hey bud, good to see you planning hard! laugh.gif Nearly caught SC but jt 2nd in that was probably better than I deserved, bit cack tbh.

God I'm not spending 10.5 on keepers, 8.5 is enough if they back each other up. laugh.gif Fun too! Then spend the extra 2m further up, where the risers are.

Hammers look quite good now, got a new RB from Fulham, new CB, big lad, looking for Mawson too atm and funnily enough Masuaku the ruddy def>mid fpl change is now tipped to oust Cresswell at LB! laugh.gif

DDG will rise as will Fab's biggrin.gif
Besides I already have the risers! tongue.gif

Doubt Spammers D will improve, they are just replacing the chaff with the chaff laugh.gif

Maybe, the good thing about DDG is you don't worry about def rotation once they're all back and it actually helps you to get the good early cheapo midfielders that start well, sometimes too much cash can mean you miss those cheapo's because you are put off by the price tag. Could be some good 5.5's & 5's.

Been reading about Button, seems Fulham fans don't rate him and Brighton fans seem a bit cool too! Maybe he isn't that good and there's real competition between Button & Steele? Might need to change, get 2 x 4.5's because I don't like the remaining 4.5/4.0's.

Think Siggy must come in, if a 10 in an attacking Silva set-up, sp's, could even get back to his best?

That leaves enough for Cairney & 0.5 for 2 x 4.5 keepers? Foster & Flappy? The 2 F's?

DRAFT II

There, that looks a bit better, feels more solid and a smidgen of extra quality in midfield. Not too punty, probably a bit boring tbh but it feels kind of okay. Balance looks fine, not too heavy at the back and good price points further up. How's everyone else's coming along? Started yet? laugh.gif

I note Shaw is back in the immediate fold! laugh.gif Slim chance of stealing Young's spot but at least he has the chance of finally staking a claim, oh and he's 5.0 ohmy.gif

This means it's possible to have 3 premium def's with not too much pain, I reckon even Mendy could go in too at a push.

Robbo
Mendy
Shaw

Nice ey? laugh.gif

Aesthetically horrible but I suppose the game is about points not looks laugh.gif

Got the bench wrong but you get the idea, go back to 8.5 keepers, bump Coleman up to Mendy and bring Shaw in. Keep Tomkins as 1st sub in all games and yeah, on the money but Mahrez does become Silva. At a push Zaha could become Wood but I dunno, those EL games are a bit off-putting and bar h)liv Zaha has really nice fixtures, even the liv game could see goals from both sides so not a complete write-off.

It's a bit less boring for sure, more umph in the backline and certainly more aggressive. rock.gif

Another cheat could be to go 2 x 4.0 at the back to get Mahrez back, but need to make sure 1 is a starter, ideally both.

Or Zaha > Wood, or keep Silva, he is going a bit under the radar atm 7% ohmy.gif despite having a better ppm than both KDB and Sane and does seem to be a key part of Pep's thinking, and success. The childcare issues will probably be key here because if he does play more then he's arguably great value.

Silva ppm 5.8 /8.5m = 0.68
Kane ppm 5.9 /12.5m = 0.47

And Zaha wanting out, Rich on his way to Everton!

The opportunities to spend less on these mid-range 'stars' is mounting by the day.

Siggy > Rich 1m
Zaha > Wood 0.5m

At this rate it'll be possible to have the best defence going and Mo and Kun and 2 premium 'attackers'! ohmy.gif

Personally I think Young is too old rolleyes.gif he plays to safe and simple...like he did for England....not a top team player anymore imo.
Shaw hopefully takes his place...but we will see.
You went chicken on Coleman.
