2 friends and myself will be in London that weekend. We live in Canada and are having a hard time finding tickets. Arsenal FC said to become members, however the match is sold out. Called the Riverside and they're sold out as well. Not sure which online source to trust? Anyone have any experience in these matters. Thanks

Has anyone been to the emirates? Is upper long side any good or is it way too high?

Also post this in the Woes & Triumphs thread, and post a link back to here so people post replies in here.

Good luck. smile.gif

The whole of it is a pit.

Best way to get a ticket is twitter. Most clubs have a ticket exchange thing run by the fans.

My mate went to WHL hoping to see Spurs vs City. Reckons it was like the Bronx. He loved the Emirates.

Depends what you want. If you want a lovely looking stadium with zero atmosphere and full of posh corporate guys drinking wine, go to the Emirates. If you want to go to a game and actually experience an atmosphere in London, go to White Hart Lane.

lol, nice.

Im am interested to see the Emirates to be honest, but more excited to see Middlesbrough. we actually tried the ticket exchange, however you need to be a member (40 pounds) and then you can only buy one ticket per member and its rare to get three in a row. We ended up paying $212 Canadian off ticketbis(an extension of Stubhub) for Upper tier longside....very pricey but our flight and hotel were booked, so we bit the bullet.

thanks guys for your input.

I do understand what you mean Spurs Crew. our hockey team here in Toronto play in front a stadium of posh T#@ts every night. We only have one hockey team in a city of 5 million if you include the boroughs. Ticket demand is high and usually only go to corporate for the first 30 rows.

Im disappointed to hear that about the emirates. I've seen matches at 6 different grounds and just asumed the atmosphere would be great everywhere in England......I will take with a grain of salt though, coming from a die hard Spurs fan tongue.gif

just going to the odd game is pretty tough at Arsenal as it is one ticket per member generally and so it gets very costly very quickly. I've been to a few games, and sat in various spots. The views differ but each has their advantages and you can always get a decent view no matter where you're sat in the ground. I personally preferred high up the stand compared to lower down. Hope you enjoy the game juice, and that Boro only concede 5. wink.gif

well it was hardly a goal fest, however for a 0-0 draw there was plenty of big saves.

It was a great day out though, sun was shining for our pre game pints at the Auld Triangle.

I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the atmosphere at the Emirates. I've been up and down England at different grounds and never seen such a sleepy crowd, especially being such a massive one. That being said, the Boro fans were fantastic, as loud as I've ever herd.

All and all I'm glad I went.
