I was worried when Murray went down yesterday but he has had scans and he's fine, should be good for next weekend..Phew! smile.gif

That's great news, most likely need a good solid sub-7 striker with great fixtures sooner or later, he fits the bill big time! laugh.gif

Just had a glance at the rules on concussion, think it's right?

The FA and Premier League have set out clear 'return to play' guidelines for players who are suspected to have suffered concussion. Essentially, no player will be allowed to return for a competitive game for at least six days.

There is no blood test or scan which can diagnose concussion. Diagnosis is made on the basis of history and examination.

The guidelines work on a step-by-step basis, with a player only allowed to progress a step every 24 hours - although this process can often take longer. The steps are: No physical activity, light aerobic exercise, sport specific exercise, non-contact training drills, full contact training, return to play (after an all-clear from the club's medical officer).

-------------

So assuming 'all is well' it would appear that Murray could be back for v wol as long as he follows the daily progress/recovery guide.

It's a little different when someone loses consciousness and has to go to hospital I'd say. Obviously he's fine to leave hospital but that doesn't mean he'll be fine to play a Premier League game within 7 days.

Big ? about Alonso raging atm, has his attack threat vanished? Positioning good v mun (from an attacking pov) but little real threat bar nearly being through. Numbers improved @sot but nowhere near the heights of those early games. Clearly people want Mendy so Alonso or Trip are the cash cows but for those with Mendy & Robbo, Alonso looks more of a hold than a sell right now but not a buy.

Thankfully it's 'nothing more than concussion' (Hughton) and 'He's going to be sore for a short while and this week we will do the appropriate things we need to do with him.'

Hopefully back soon.

Different levels of concussion though. The fact he was knocked unconscious and had to go to hospital suggests it's a pretty serious version of it.

Yeah, expect they won't rush him back.

Back in Mo's good books with quite a bang! 28pts in 2 is epic stuff. Fixtures look good and he looks a screaming buy if you can fit him in without too much hassle. Word of caution though, XG is just 0.32, he's finishing extremely well from tricky positions. This hasn't stopped Hazard so it's entirely possible for good players to keep 'overachieving'.

Video has emerged of Arnie "headbutting & punching" Sanchez in the stomach. It all looks 'not very serious' but if the FA see it they could ban him for 3 games.

Yep see that over in another forum, you just know he'll get a ban now

Didn't look like a head butt. He was getting up and just 'arranged' his head to protect it. He should be fine.
But a suspension would give me one less headache and cause others to take a hit, so ban the mother. laugh.gif

Mitrovic posted goal threat of 0.0 btw @car ohmy.gif

His Threat trend in away games is consistently down and has ended in a zero, quite alarming.

mac 13
eve 6
car 0

Fortunately his home threat remains very good so certainly a hold for v bou but a huge ? at a fast improving hud unless ful quickly get their act together.

Yeah, no shots was a surprise. But the assist was better than the yellow most others returned.
Schurrle is a unit less and seems to be doing OK.
Take away the first 3 week's scores, and Schurrle has scored slightly better.
Swapping the two could free a unit, and/or just provide better balance as it's hard to replace Fraser, but a lot easier to replace Mitro.

Who's the FUL PK taker? I think it's Mitro.

CHE not playing CL is the big reason why I'll keep. I don't think he'll be rotated, whereas all the others will be at some stage.

He had a shocker. Had a few chances in the box but his control was poor. Any other day, he could have had a goal and assist. His positioning was good though. Another big day is imminent. He doesn't want to let his own FAPL team down. laugh.gif

Position?

Listed as MID. Even better. Maybe he'll get CS pts, if United remember how to keep them.

Keane of EVE with a PPM of 5.6. Matching Doherty. Goals, assists, a few CS. He's got it all. ALso baps when he gets any of the affore mentioned. At 4.9, could be a good rotation with someone? Then again, our rotating Holebas/Digne theory wouldn't have worked out too well if we went for it. laugh.gif

Maybe worth noting Gerard Deulofeu (5.4m) has returned to the Watford starting XI, rubbish numbers @wol, owned by hardly anyone but on his day he's a good sort and next 3 fixtures are good;

27 Oct 15:00 10 Huddersfield (H)
03 Nov 15:00 11 Newcastle (A)
10 Nov 15:00 12 Southampton (A)

Could be a decent short-term punt/enabler.

Doing well for me in Fantrax but you can put him in with so many others in FPL, padding thanks to pen save helps numbers but he's okay, always a good goal threat too.
