Without Salah ....

If I have Mili in the Middle, can then go Arnau upfront instead of Zaha. If Zaha moves on before season starts and Ings moves to Palace, he will then come in to free up cash.

I'd stick with Slah for at least the first 2 weeks.

Aguero and Auba look like good value, so I would rather have them and Arnau or Zaha, after week 2.

Can't see Bobby in the plans. Mane might be the Pool guy to get. Still early.

As I said, if a sub 6.5 guy pops up, Salah might be able to stay. But I doubt relying on Mili to score PKs is the way to go.

But for the first 4 weeks, get yourself a 4.5 for the bench.
Have Salah and Aguero.
Get two sub 7.0 unit FORs to go with Aguero. Bobby's not as good value as the others.

Was tempted to put King in for Arnau until fixtures get easier for WHU ....
Hoping Ings gets sold, if sold his price may increase.

I am back, based on numbers, not sure if I will be traded or not, but looking forward to the season.

Welcome back mate! laugh.gif Think we're up to 10 now and Clinical's giving it a miss so let's hope we can get 10 a team, not far off already just needs a few more to return. That's not to say we are guaranteed to retain everyone, that discussion is yet to be had but I'll certainly be advocating continuity.

Hi everyone smile.gif

I’m always very tentative when I post my 1st team. I’m still not 100% into this fb malarkey & I have a very basic approach I know, so I'm all for a bit of guidance in the right direction. Arnatovic doesn’t have the best fixtures I know. I could swap him for Zaha?

Atm I have

Ryan

Louvren Pva Jones

Cork Mahrez Silva Ali

Aguero Arnatovic Lacazette

Fab Milivojevic Daniels Zanka

Not sure Lovren will start right away as he may be given a rest from WC duty, Jones is another that I don't think is secured a starting spot. Which Silva do you have in midfield?

At the moment I'm on this,

Ederson

Robertson
Bailly
Doherty

Salah©
Sane
Richarlison
Cairney

Aguero
Firmino
King

SUBS:
4.0 filler GK (taking suggestions)
Wan Bissaka
Jagielka
Obiang (taking suggestions on 4.5 Mids)

0.5 in the bank

Question marks over Bailly and Firmino, but I think that is it? If anyone has stand out options for 4.0 GK and 4.5 MID let me know.

I'm currently at 4 options as to what to do with the extra 0.5:
1) Richarlison > Mkhitaryan - I'm not sure Mkhi will be a secured starter and Richi could have another explosive start like last season
2) Jagielka > Digne - if there is any indication that he will take the LB spot from Baines this could be a good move
3) Cairney > Seri - purely based off his numbers in comparison to other Fulham mids and possibly on set pieces.
4) Hold the 0.5 for flexibility in the following weeks.

Worth a punt as backup if he gets listed ?

Phil Foden: Man City midfielder ready for Premier League, says Pep Guardiola

As much as we know City MIDs are the best, their rotation scares me. If Foden does get any games, they'll be against the weaker sides, and they're the games you'd want to have him for. Could be a good 4.5 to have. The only downside is he takes up one of the three MAC spots on your team.

At this point though, I'm likely to only have Aguero. We can pick the City side for GW1, but what happens in GW2 when the rest are back and fit? Still Sterling, Silva and KDB to come back. Meanwhile Jesus is surely going to get a start.

My first draft:

Patricio
Mendy Robertson Coleman
Bilva, Salah, Eriksen, Richarlison
Aguero, Arnie, King

Fab, WanB, Stephens, Malone

Pretty template, weak bench, thoughts?

This maybe where Bernardo can come in until we see what's what. He's up to speed, playing well and handily priced.

Looks fine, WanB & Peltier appear to be the only 4m def's likely to start atm.

Looks a bit of squad player, the whole cheap 3rd striker 5.5 and under looks meh compared to the 5m midfielders.

Light defence to get a 5th heavy in? Haven't seen many sacrifice 2 or 3 premium defenders to achieve this but it might work. Daniels should be ok until Rico's available gw4.

Read an interesting article about cheap keeper & premium defender v vice-versa, the former always seems to win. If the pattern continues Patricio & Mendy could offer more value than Ederson & Doherty. Nice set-up. Hamer seems closest to a 4 starter in goal, boring Stephens maybe and the 5m mid's of Cairney, Neves & Ralls look the value.

Sacrificed Salah to get quite a good squad once they're all back. Looks a risky set-up tbh with so many of those not having had any pre-season due to world cup, and no Salah. Good thing about Salah is if he doesn't perform well he's easy to sell, but if he does start well he's a nightmare to try and buy.

Yeah, from what I've read, Pep has a Bernardo man crush. Worth the risk, and with the spare cash, can get a decent 8th attacker now for backup.

Saving a tranny is going to be useful come gw3 when Gooners fixtures get better and we may see more clarity in the citeh midfield.
