Lucas should come in on the right? Son comes back on the left? Alli and/or Eriksen get a rest? Kane or Llorente up top?

This is what I predicted in your RMT last week:

Lloris, Aurier, Toby/Sanchez, Vertonghen, Rose, Wanyama, Dier, Alli, Eriksen, Lamela, Kane

I didn’t know about Rose’s injury then so Davies will play. Sanchez had a poor game and Poch has said Toby will be in the squad so maybe he gets a start. I predicted Son and Lamela would get a start each, just the wrong way round. For what its worth, I think Poch got it the wrong way round. So I’d maybe now predict:

Lloris, Aurier, Toby, Vertonghen, Davies, Wanyama, Eriksen/Dier, Alli, Son, Lucas, Kane

So not a huge difference. Two from Eriksen, Dier and Alli should start, depending on how Poch wants us to play and who he thinks could do with a rest. Don’t see Llorente starting as he’s only started 1 league game all season. Some people think Kane looked tired or unfit vs City. I thought he looked rusty, not tired so I think he’ll play.

This was done by Stat on ffs and shows the points per minute of the top 40 players before gw34 in a graph of home (up) and away (across).

Silva is interesting? Great away but not so great at home? Bobby ahead of Mane in aways? Jesus the best citeh homer?

So it looks like it's Jesus, Sterling, KDB / Aguero and then Sane for home games.
Firmino, then Mane for away games. I can't see Salah. Oh wait, there he is, going out of the stratosphere. laugh.gif

Breaking: AgŁero visited last thursday Dr Cugat and they decided yesterday that the surgery in his meniscus was the best option. It was this morning in Barcelona and he will be out one month. He will play the World Cup without problems.

This guy has been good on these things before so probably right.

That nails Jesus rolleyes.gif but probably means KDB is too rich for me despite his stunning home hauls. Still possible but I wonder how much citeh will 'go for it' when the title's won and celebrations due? huh.gif

Alonso's likely to be banned until dgw37 but I guess that's okay as can be benched 36.

Alisdair Gold's predicted Spurs team (he got City lineup correct): (4-2-3-1) Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dembele, Wanyama; Lucas, Eriksen, Son; Kane.

No. He also said Sanchez, so 9/11.

I on the other hand got 10/11, just didn't get Sissoko over Alli, which might have been wishful thinking as an Alli owner.

Sanchez has been brilliant on the whole but its easy to forget he's only 21 years old.

SC, do you think Poch was going to rest Alli anyway (like v bri earlier) or did the heavy treatment he got at times v citeh play a part in that decision?

The fact that he didn't even travel probably answers that. I was surprised he wasn't at least on the bench, even if I take out that he was in my FPL side. He'd have been useful to come on last night because the subs we brought on had no impact at all. He got whacked loads vs Stoke and got some hard challenges vs City as well. I'm guessing he got a little knock vs City because he got taken off late on which made no sense really.

With West Ham having been a bit laboured last 2 I'm wondering if squeezing KDB in over Arnie might be the right thing to do? He's expensive but it's not impossible due to the plethora of cheapish defenders, some of them really attacking too.

Clearly bumping a 7 to a 10 reduces options at the back so maybe best just to target those who can and have got attacking returns. Robbo & PvA are moderately priced and Long has 1g 2a 3cs in his 11 games, he's what Mee should have been so may as well ride the luck @sto. Keepers? Can't afford Coleman or Baines so Pickford and his back-up are probably next best eve 'def' option and aren't expensive. Kiko's a nice b2 and defensive minded Dummett's the ideal 5th, the last resort.

It's getting a bit heavy towards the front but still not a bad defence, not scraping the barrel or scrapping the barrel, yet. laugh.gif

We've got pretty much the same front 7, with my Sane to your KDB. So obviously I really like your attackers.

I think you're slightly misunderstanding people who are picking Baines and/or Coleman. I'm picking one or both of them because they offer attacking threat. Coleman gets forward all the time, a bit like Alonso, and Baines is on set pieces and probably pens. I'm not that convinced they'll get a CS but I'm not convinced many teams will, so I'm focusing on picking a defence that can get points at both ends of the pitch. So I'm not sure about the Pickford one, I'd sooner go with Pope.

Well considering I had Coleman in when I had Arnie I think I'm well aware I wasn't spending 6.4 for a cleanie mate, give me some credit lol.gif Can't get Pope & Heaton in if I go KDB. Not expecting an eve cleanie tbh but they can be quite tight at home as evidenced with 2 cleanies last 3 so not impossible.

If Robbo gets rested then VVD could come in but I'd have to edge Mili down to a 4.5. Likewise Baines could come in but then it gets a bit messy re keepers. Let's see if PvA is a defensive defender SC... laugh.gif

"Over his last six matches, Van Aanholt has scored twice and fired eight attempts on goal, with five shots on target Ė more than any defender." FFS

Wonder if he's an attacking defender SC? lol.gif

What are you talking about? I think you've misunderstood me. You said you've picked Pickford because you can't afford Baines or Coleman. That doesn't make sense because the only reason in my opinion to consider Everton defence/GK options is if they have attacking threat. Not worth it otherwise, so Pickford isn't cover for them.

Why do you need Pope and Heaton? What's wrong with Pope and Hennessey?

Don't get so precious Netley. I thought I was in the Rate My Team portion of the forum, not the "only provide positive comments on a team" thread. My mistake.

I think the next best eve option after Coleman & Baines is Pickford & Robles. I'm not comparing attacking threat laugh.gif

I don't want double cpl if Heaton starts, I don't even want double bur.
