Captaincy in 34 isn't any more important than any other week as I won't be using the triple captain chip. It's more important that I have 15 players that can contribute to my score. If Kane isn't back, I don't have any amazing options but I have a lot of very good ones. Hard to know until the fixtures get announced.

Why twice? biggrin.gif

Sorry, got a bit lost. Should be an open captaincy 34. Lukaku isn't that popular anyway, Kane will tempt if back and folk can take a punt on several others.

Oh if Kane is back he'll be my captain for sure. He'll know he needs plenty of goals if he wants the golden boot, just like last season. He'll have two home games vs a side that'll just have won the league and could very well still be in the CL and vs Newcastle. Me likey.

And then it begins... laugh.gif As a Hennessey & Speroni "investor" it was just a matter of time before the urge to go for the speculative 'value' keepers over the solid yielding quality comfort blankets. Last season was similar, guess I can't change.

What do they offer? Double doubles, 8.9m, maybe battling spirit? Points? Dunno, that's the bet.

Great front 7 and Matic will be downgraded a tad (stop laughing) to make sure I can Mkhi>Son 33.

Defence? It's creaking a bit but not quite to the Simpson/Chillwell level, so that's something I guess. All doubles and I think they can all get an effort on (the right) goal on a good day.

Where are all the Swans and the Burns? Crellin reckons bur dgw is 37 and is 50/50 on when swa is so for now I'm ruling them out.

Kane? That will be tricky but it will be done especially if he's back 34 and if Auba doesn't double 34.

Chips? Even if it's 4 v 5 I'd still fancy BB 34 & TC Kane 37 because I think we know the doubles have to be in 34 & 37 due to Euro TV agreements.

Blue V for Victory RAPID? laugh.gif

Cheap keepers worth it? You'd think DDG was way better value over the 17 weeks I had Hennessey & Speroni? Rubbish keepers v the best?

17 weeks - 70pts = 4.11ppm / 5.8m | 70.86% | DDG
17 weeks - 67pts = 3.94ppm / 4.3m | 91.62% | Hennessey (& Speroni)

3pts less? 1.5m?

Now I got lucky, they tightened up a bit and save points improved and some cleanies and it's only the last 17 games. Still, it doesn't exactly put me off punting on these types again. cool.gif

Fixtures are starting to be announced now.

Spurs have vs MAC, @BRI in 34 and vs NEW, @WBA in 37. How good does that 37 set look? 100% using my TC on Kane in 37.

Not as bad as feared, bur do get 34, phew! laugh.gif Bad news on swa though, pity. Still, bur, bri, sot have enough enablers without having to go back to hud & bou. bb34 still very much on as Kane in 37 looks great.
Auba? Still a good Kane placeholder especially now that options like Barnes can be added to Murray but in all honesty Auba's stock isn't as attractive, pity.

Yeah I've just re-done my side and only made 4 changes, a couple of which were relatively minor. Personally think Murray is the standout 3rd striker option now. Ayew looked good for 34 but obviously doesn't anymore. Murray vs Barnes isn't that close to me. Murray has a much better scoring record, better fixtures towards 34, about the same 34 fixtures and another DG in 37. Murray to Ayew for 37 could be a good idea though wink.gif

If I hold my nerve with cheap keepers and 'lean' defence Vardy will be my 3rd striker. The 5th midfielder gets interesting with a heavy front 3, laugh.gif Lowton obviously back in and for VDH? Dunk or Stephens. Not a massive change really, as 34 still looks good BB.

So Auba, Lukaku and Vardy? Personally think Auba isn't necessary now. I know you're talking about a placeholder for Kane but what if Kane isn't fit for 34? Not an obvious choice to change Auba to if so. Murray is appealing for his fixtures before 34 more than his actual 34 fixtures, not sure I'd bring him in then. I looked at Auba, Lukaku and Murray briefly but seems silly to set a certain transfer out already when there really isn't much between them to start with. Yeah a lean defence isn't too difficult with a Burnley, Leicester and Brighton defender all being cheap.

If Kane isn't ready for 34 then it's probably Hazard or Morata. The latter gets a slightly better 8th "attacker" but the former could lead back to RAPID's favourite Colin Quaner! laugh.gif

Okay, the boring one. It's so boring it's even got cash saved for Lukaku>Kane! It nails the 'must haves' and ignores the mustafi nots and even gets the little bit of fun Ibe punt. It's on the money so I've saved it but there's still scope to be even more boring as Murray/Smalling can become Barnes/Vertonghen! laugh.gif
