This is what I mean with Lukaku. You’ve got Andy King in your bench boost team. With a tiny change you could get Vardy and another big midfielder instead of Lukaku and King. Surely that’s better?

Dunno, captaincy 34 is a big factor and if starting Murray 32 33 then JAyew 34 does it matter that AKing is in? Only need him 34? Need to see what the official gameweeks are anyway, they could make 37 the biggie.

Can get this for 32 SC, had a bit tucked away for a rainy day laugh.gif

DDG Ryan
Alonso Smalling Lowton Morgan VDH
Salah Mahrez Son Willian AKing
Lukaku Aubameyang Murray

In theory 10 double doubles but depends on the fixtures. Not too tricky to bring Kane in 34/36 and Vardy 37 but again it depends on fixtures. Best get Son in now though, could go up.

Here’s a tip that has helped me out since I hit the WC button. Create a side for each week that’s left as if you have a free hit for every week. It’s quite useful as it underlines which players have better fixtures. E.g I had a Swansea defender in before I did it and afterwards I realised Burnley have better fixtures so he changed to Lowton. It also showed me that Lukaku wasn’t the best pick for me

laugh.gif basically it's the key to the whole game!

I do, it rarely helps but if I can understand the process - forget about the players for now - it should make more sense once we know the fixtures. SC understands it you know, he sees the process quite clearly.

You both should add some intuition (hunch? don't know what you understand better) to your theories/plans because it's the key to life at all, not just a FF game! smile.gif

See RAPID, SC will go Auba Vardy JAyew or Barnes and have a Power 5 in midfield plus Alonso. He's setting it up to preserve transfers, he knows we've only 4 frees to 37 with FH35. If Kane is back he can Alonso>Christ, easy. Has he a good 34 captaincy option if Kane isn't back? If Crellin's right lei have bur ARS? Rules Vardy & Mahrez out? Auba 2 aways? Nah. Salah has bou, single but okay? He'll go for a double? Son????? MAC NEW huh.gif Yeah, he might go Son? Willian? sot bur, bit iffy maybe? 5th mid? DSilva??? Sterling? Mane? Who is his 5th? Mkhi? laugh.gif He could cap Kane if back or Son.

Captaincy in 34 isn't any more important than any other week as I won't be using the triple captain chip. It's more important that I have 15 players that can contribute to my score. If Kane isn't back, I don't have any amazing options but I have a lot of very good ones. Hard to know until the fixtures get announced.

This has been posted around the place, it's by Jarvish on FFS - he did well on Countdown one year, a British gameshow on tv, sort of based on Scrabble, working out words and sums etc.

It's speculative, but if it's right it is not what we're expecting. Full post below.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GAMECHANGER?

JARVISH Fantasy Football Scout Member18 hours, 24 mins ago

Apologies for the long 6am post - my baby was up early so time to kill!

The FFS masses have been working on the general assumption that the postponed GW31 matches are going to be rearranged for GW34, and the postponed GW35 matches are going to be moved to GW37, even though there is no real logic to this assumption any more now all the postponements for GW31 and GW35 are known without any matches being rearranged yet.

However, on another site there is a forum where they talk about what matches are going to be scheduled for TV and why https://forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/22...ixtures-thread/ who haven't been working on this assumption . To clarify, I am not saying these people are right and "we" are wrong, I'm just saying that fixture arrangement is all they talk about so I personally wouldn't listen to their theories less than a theory based on an assumption which no longer appears to hold much weight.

Although (obviously) there are many different opinions on there, one of the more frequent and (appears to be) most respected posters on there has predicted that there will be more games rearranged for GW37 than GW34, which will make GW37 a bigger DGW than GW34. This appears to be without any FPL angle or bias (so he's not being a dick for the sake of it!).

His theory is summarised as this.........

1) 10 games are to be rearranged, and there are 6 TV slots for these 10 - five for Sky and one for BT.
2) All DGW games will be played in GW34 and GW37 because they can (no need to clash with Europe like the last few seasons which effects overseas ratings especially)
3) There will not be a PL game arranged for Sky for Thursday 19th April (GW34), evidenced by Sky already confirming an EFL game to be live that night
4) The match BT have live dibs for is Bournemouth v Man U - as Man U v Tottenham is likely to be the BBC choice of televised FA Cup semi finals which is likely to be played tea-time Saturday 19th April, Bournemouth v Man U won't be played on the Thursday either, meaning it is likely there are no PL games on Thursday 17th April.
5) That means there is likely to be two midweek nights only for GW34 (Tuesday and Wednesday), so a live match on each of these nights leaves 4 slots left for TV purposes, which can be Monday to Thursday consecutively GW37 - Sky did a similar thing to this last season.
6) This means the BT game (Bournemouth v Man U) is likely to be GW34 - Wednesday is the logical day as Man U play the Sunday before. This means West Ham v Man U would need to be GW37 - this was earmarked for Sky as a live game originally and likely Sky would want to keep it live
7) Man City's game with Brighton will be rearranged for GW37 - it looks very unlikely the PL would ask them to have a DGW in GW34 when the could have European matches the midweeks of GW32, 33, 35 and 36 (there is a decent break between the semis and the final)
8) This means Brighton v Spurs will need to go to GW34, so accordingly Spurs v Newcastle will go to GW37 - this will please Wembley also as they probably wouldn't want a Spurs home game in midweek GW34 a few days before FA Cup semi finals over consecutive days.
9) Brighton v Spurs was earmarked for Sky as a live game and likely Sky would want to keep it live, so that would be on the Tuesday of GW34
10) This leaves one TV slot left for GW37 - the remaining earmarked Sky live game was Burnley v Chelsea, so assumed they would want to keep that live and move it there. That would mean Chelsea v Huddersfield for GW34.
11) That leaves 3 matches to go - let's assume Arsenal would want their match GW37 as well (for similar reasons as Man City though a bit flimsier as EL cup final earlier than CL final), so Leicester v Arsenal GW37, which means has to be Leicester v Southampton GW34 and Southampton v Swansea GW37.

So, that could leave the schedule as.............

GW34

Tue 17 Apr
Brighton v Tottenham - Sky
Chelsea v Huddersfield
Leicester v Southampton

Wed 18 Apr
Bournemouth v Man Utd - BT

GW37

Mon 7 May
West Ham v Man Utd - Sky (with West Ham and Man Utd's weekend games before moved back to Friday, one of which for TV)

Tue 8 May
Newcastle v Tottenham - Sky

Wed 9 May
Man City v Brighton - Sky
Southampton v Swansea
Leicester v Arsenal

Thu 10 May
Burnley v Chelsea - Sky

For clarity (for when this is wrong), I am not saying I think this will be 100% correct and could be completely wrong, but the logic used seems a lot more sturdy than the current FFS assumption.

I guess we will find out soon enough! (today hopefully!!!!)

Sorry, got a bit lost. Should be an open captaincy 34. Lukaku isn't that popular anyway, Kane will tempt if back and folk can take a punt on several others.
