The bear-market in my non-Liverpool Hotspur stocks gathers frightening momentum - 15 blanks in the last fortnight is 68% and not in a good way. All bear markets end with a violent reaction, hopefully I've just suffered the last sell-off.

Sterling can become a 31 if he's still a doubt as I'm not 100% sure Quaner is now nailed? Pritchard if his dead leg is alive?

Captaincy is tricky, Kane the better fixture but Salah has the form.

Defenders to start? Dummett's doing okay so maybe worth a start? Robertson's an assist threat so might be better than Naughton but not too sure.

Not a bad side, just need a bit more confidence for the market to turn.

Guardiola said: "Ferna is much much better, as is Sterling. Maybe tomorrow they won’t play but they may be ready for Stoke City. Mendy is back but he’s been out for six monhts, we have to be careful."

Maybe & may be, if in doubt get the hell out laugh.gif

Yes Crazy, Harry is so tempting, type of game he gets 3 or 4 in and bou are so iffy atm.

Well I'm 100% getting rid of Sterling then. If he's not going to be involved at all in a game that doesn't matter then it seems unlikely he'll be fit enough to start at the weekend. And even if he is fit, who is to say that Bernardo Silva will lose his place anyway?

You never know what Pep's up to. He could easily play Bernardo v Basel with a view to playing Sterling v Stoke, then it's the international break. You could argue there's no need to risk Sterling before the break but on the other hand he will need to play if fully fit so Stoke could be the ideal game as it sounds he's not 100% atm. Tempted to hold and then attack 31 with 2 frees.

If you're going to take him out for Week 31 I think you're mad to keep him this week. Only reason to keep him is if you have him at a big discount and you want to keep him in your wildcard side.

"The bear-market in my non-Liverpool Hotspur stocks"

I think yours is more a 'bare-market' in those stocks. laugh.gif

Sterling will be 8.6 by the weekend, possibly lower.
Normally I'd say to drop, but Shaq has City and Quaner has a fair fixture at home, so keeping him might not be that bad.
Having 2 FT for W31 would be ideal, as there might be injuries in W30.

I'll assess both Sterling & Quaner closer to deadline.

Okay Sterling is back in full training, seen the pics & vid, moving fine and laughing a lot. I guess he could play tonight but might not be risked, bench? If he gets 20' or so then that would suggest his chances v Stoke are very good. If he starts tonight then he's a big rotation risk v Stoke.

He was pictured in training at the beginning of last week though?

Yeah, not at all sure what happened, maybe felt a bit of tightness in the hammy? Looked okay in the vid I saw from yesterday so let's see if he's in the squad tonight.

What I'm trying to say is that I don't see an outcome from tonight where I'd feel confident Sterling will play, other than Bernardo Silva getting injured. If Sterling starts tonight, it shows he's fit but he's not going to start two games in 4 days is he? And if he comes off the bench and gets 15 or so minutes, it could mean that Pep is giving Bernardo Silva an early rest so he can start the weekend game vs Stoke. Or it might mean that's all Sterling can play right now. And if Sterling isn't involved at all, which is what Pep suggested in his press conference, then it seems unlikely he'll be ready to start and play considerable minutes just a few days later.

He's not in the squad and Stoke is Monday night. Loads of time for everyone to recover but I'm a bit less confident of him starting, might go Pritchard if he's okay.

If he couldn’t even make the squad tonight he’s far too risky to trust against Stoke. I will need Guardiola to say with 100% certainty that Sterling is going to start for me to keep him now
