Shiru - Main advice I'd give to you or anyone else about Week 31 is don't touch your team until the day before next weeks deadline. Before then, the next round of the FA Cup will have been played so we'll have a better idea who is or isn't playing.

Thanks cap! tongue.gif

Aguero did well but the defending for 2nd and 3rd goals were comical ffs.... Annoys me the gifts he's been getting lately and it seems to be happening a lot lately..

That's all you, SP... You look for minuses in everything else other than just look at your team and what you are actually doing...

That's all you, SP... You look for minuses in everything else other than just look at your team and what you are actually doing...

I know where I'm going wrong and a big factor is caps. I don't think anyone would have predicted Sanchez to score 6pts vs Huddersfield and to blank vs Newcastle - on paper, the easiest fixtures... My squad is great as the findings have shown - I have gotten the most of my squad here, despite all the cap fails and I rarely talk cap punts when people look at my cap history this season. I don't recall anyone here telling me not to cap Sanchez. Of course in hindsight looks bad move...
I can't predict defenders like Coleman, Mendy, Cresswell and Jones dieing as soon as I get, that's just plain unlucky.. But I also admit when a player I own has gotten the rub of the green, like Kane a few gameweeks ago but I hadn't capped Kane then and I would have preferred if the pts hadn't been awarded...
All 4 of Kun's goals were preventable but I wouldn't be surprised if Kasper had kun capped in his fpl team rolleyes.gif. I wouldn't be so annoyed if Aguero goals were skillful but most were keeper errors, sad.gif in his last 2 big hauls vs Newcastle and Leicester!! Schmeichel should have saved all of them, 4th goal was straight at him. Second one where it goes straight through his arms is just as bad really laugh.gif . If Aguero was playing well, I wouldn't hesitate to bring him in but it's hard too on this evidence. Fortunate haul! Kun has ruined my season and my money league up in flames now. I would have preferred if his goals were screamers but it's far from the case when you dig deeper...

Anyway, time to be more boring and Salah auto cap in effect now.

It's annoying when it doesn't go your way and when your cap fails, a red arrow is virtually guaranteed... I didn't expect to drop 112k so far, but must be a lot of Aguero owners and many more who capped. I might have to get Aguero in if these gifts keep happening.
Salah has 49pts in last 5 gameweeks.
Kane has 33pts in last 5 gameweeks.
Kun has 51pts in last 5 gameweeks.

Can't go wrong with Salah autocap wink.gif

Kane may have been outscored the last few weeks by Salah and Aguero, but don't forget that he's played Liverpool, United and Arsenal in the last 3 league games. His next few fixtures look extremely promising.

yes and then i end up capping him hoping to see it mean-revert, but it doesn't and then salah/ aguero goes berserk. biggrin.gif

I dont think missing out on caps will make or break a season. They eventually even out at the end.
Where the better ff players will show themselves and widen the gap between themselves and others is how they plan for events like the upcoming blank weeks or when and how to use chips (I already spudded (wasted) my fee hit for example).
Things the average player doesn't think about.

Seriously don't sweat the caps just have a full playing squad with a strong bench that you can rotate to increase your chances for a good score and the caps can sort themselves out.

The problem for me hasn't been playing squad in matter of fact it's been not getting cap right. In fact I have gotten most out of my squad if you take away the total cap pts for season . I'm sure I'm top in Warriors for that but I have made a few questionable picks lately..
Picking wrong caps are killing my season. It's the difference most weeks between a okay gameweek and a great gameweek.
Glad break in FPL, can now focus on picking UCL fantasy team cool.gif

His muscle injury in this game was unrelated to the broken leg that kept him out for so long.

Still, as you suggest, it's always wise to wait a little bit when a player returns from a long term injury.

Exactly!

And even a muscle injury could be a side reason...

It's easy to say this in hindsight but I had to move cos of price rises rolleyes.gif . Coleman had played mins for U23's and a full league match, also was devastating linking up with walcott down the right....

Carbon copy of Barkley's situation... So I could say that before it happened, not hindsight at all!

Sorry Warriors, for my weak Legatus showing. No Kun, no Haz, and then the negative pt coming in off the bench for Alonso was the capper black eye.gif

Great score Shiru, bagging the arena bronze for the week clapping.gif Aguero© was the magic key... Also shout out to Dex and ecvtan with a solid 90 each. Hazard© provided Dex with a big boost at the end agree.gif

A single point for the week hopefully concludes a really rough spell for us... now a weekend off to regroup thumbsup.gif

RAPID, I don't need to tell you that had you done the sensible thing and capped Aguero, you'd have scored a 99 and probably be well back into the top 5K. Otamendi,,,,,really?! blink.gif laugh.gif

Yes, it's a good thing a guess, but I have been on wrong side of the salah/kane cap choice many times. I should move up rankings a lot now keeping the cap on Salah wink.gif
Salah should match if not outscore Kane in last 10 gameweeks and now on pens.
I have made a few unusual bad picks lately, last 3/4 gameweeks in particular, double utd mids and Mane not performing. I'm considering kdb/eriksen in for pogba/sanchez (-4)...
Of course it could change if Huddersfield beat UTD this weekend and then I'll have a big decision to make smile.gif
