Good question. I enjoyed the points format last year. Keepers made that a little easier for some of us, though. So not sure what to do.

I'm in. I'm fine with either points or H2H. I enjoyed points last year.

I didn't find it fun last year, too messy. Can we dumb this down a bit? I found my self just setting my lineup and focusing on my other league. Take out half the stats.

I played in a league last year that was points and head to head that was kind of fun if you wanted to incorporate both formats. Each week you have an opponent and whoever accumulates the most points would win that week. I dont know if Yahoo does this or if it would be a good idea but it was something different.

i didnt play that well with points last year but enjoyed it
i also played in a dumbed down h2h league with less scoring categories than our old league and was bored shirtless
this combo idea may work ?? - wonder if it was system based or an add on.
Easy enough maybe to run on top of the league by us if it was an add on

I'm up for another go. thumbsup.gif

I'm not too fussy on how we play it - don't mind if we move away from keepers to a yearly redraft if that's what people prefer.

I also don't mind the points league from last year, but it did feel like it lost a little bit of the week-to-week enjoyment of the H2H league.

Intentional Base on Balls (IBB) - awards an extra point if your guy is walked intentionally.

Hit by Pitch (HBP) - doesn't count as a walk, even though the guy got on base and could have an impact from there, similar to a walk.

Anyway, I don't mind eliminating some categories...and I also don't mind doing a re-draft, even though I stand to lose 3 of my favorite players because of it. It might be best for everyone if we do a re-draft. Me & TLaw stand to lose the most from that, however.

FWIW, I'm ok with losing the keeper format too. I agree that some combination of points and h2h may be the best option for game play.

OK, I adjusted the scoring to eliminate some of the more obscure categories. But I made sure that your hitters & pitchers get points for good performances.

As for keepers, what do we want to do? We will be drafting based on last year's finish. Those who didn't make the playoffs will draft first in order of record, then playoff contenders will be ranked based on place of finish.

Again...I think it might be best for us all to have a refresh this year, and then start keepers again going into next season.

I like the adjustments OMB. As far as keepers go. Im good with what ever. If you want to start fresh thats cool with me, even if we kept two players.

I am fine with keeping the same, less or even hitting the reset button on the league and redrafting. Also I think we should go back to head to head even if we keep the points format. Head to head just seems to add a little more competitiveness to it and having a playoff to look forward to instead of being out of contention by the all star break.

I spoke too soon. There is still way too many pitching stats, really!! I think you can achieve the same result with less. The top 50 list would be the same even if you drop a few stats. I dont mean to harp on this OMB, but this pool consumes a lot of my time so I want to enjoy it.
