I think I started from the very first year thumbsup.gif

Other than the season where you can use more than 100 units per week, I enjoyed all of them. smile.gif

I wonder how many people stopped playing when they did that 100 point thing. I would love to see the graph for the yff site traffic that year. I stopped after 2 or 3 weeks I think with 400 units or something silly laugh.gif

Does anyone actually think they will stop playing this game. Its more painful than love but more addictive than crack lol.gif

I've played since 02/03. Had a decent run of years culminating in a #5 finish, though I forget what year that was. I remember getting a deflected free kick goal from Giggs during the Xmas DGW that year, which really seemed to cheese raul off wink.gif

YFF are doing their best to make me quit, I must say.

The more I look at this the more I realize how dumb my approach was to setting up the poll.

Should've been more like 'What Year did you started playing YFF?'

I started commissioning a league in 2000. Work at the time had me spending half the year in Teesside and the other half in Toronto. It was a good way to keep my friendships from both sides active.

Having won our league title a few years in a row my streak was finally in jeopardy during the 2007-2008 season. I was 75 points behind the leader for the final week. I figured I had no chance and being a Boro supporter I thought what the hell i'll take a hand full of Boro players. Well holy **** balls, Boro beat City 8-1. Downing with a brace, Afonso Alves nets a hatrick. It was the greatest victory i've ever experienced while playing YFF.

Dowing was a top YFF player back in his Boro days.

I remember those Downing days, reminds me of how beast Bentley was fantasy-wise with Blackburn

Bentley was a beast, not so well at tottenham though. Reminds me of how good Morten Gamst Pedersen use to be.

I think he was the guy singled out as too old by the Indian chap in charge at Rovers last year.

Even though I am not a very good player, I had the luck to play them all. Friends were playing Yahoo Fantasy Baseball in 1998, after which the Fantasy Premier Leauge started the year after I believe.

Enjoyed it all the way, but like the year where everybody could buy every player, I think I will play low key this year. The new rules are making the game just not the same anymore.

Next year they'll change them back again, like they always do :-)
