Inter Nowhere Cup

NOTE:
As Crazylegs Crafty's and ChelSE have the same score after 2 legs, they will have to have a 3rd game to decide who goes through.
So all other teams still in the competition will have a week off, until this game has been completed.

The Cup Finals 1st Leg results

Inter-Nowhere Cup

Odd how in all 3 cup finals the lower league placed team are in the lead from the first leg, throwing the form book out of the window.

And Ladies and Gentlemen, the Winners in 2016/17 season are....

Champions League
Stokie Bloke managed by Kieron Rogers

Europa Cup
Cowabunga! managed by Jordie van der Laan

The Inter-Nowhere Cup
WALOR managed by Roscoe Pound

Well done to all 3 teams and thanks to all who played along. Now it is just a fight to see how we can get up the actual league.

Thanks Carl for another great year.
I think next year you need to re-start a league (not automatic entry for people who have been in the league before). There needs to be more content from all members of the league. In the yahoo days, people were kicked out for not contributing. While this isnt possible for EPL, something does need to be done.

Thanks for all the hard work Lee and Carl

Looking forward to next year.

I was seriously wondering if I would bother next year. Apart from me, yourself, Crazylegs and Lee, almost no one said a thing all year. In other threads people contribute all the time, but not here.
Which is odd as this is a forum after all?

Mate! don't give up, this is a great competition. What you need is new blood and a strict rule that states lack of communication will see players evicted. You can kick teams out in EPL in league mode.
You do need to start fresh as restarting the same league just automatically fills players from previous years...but don't give up...i think this comp is one of the best and love entering. I've tried to wind some people up with my predictions but no one ever seems to bite!

cheers

I do hope it continues, I guess I post more elsewhere only because there is more chat to be had there, so it's a vicious cycle.

If evicting people is what it takes, so be it, I'll be sure to participate, and thanks for your efforts.

Thanks once again Sultan, great competition.
And as the FPL Manager of Stokie Bloke, I'm over the moon that I've won the top prize. I noted your comment on teams from lower league positions doing well and to be honest, I get where your'e coming from. However, with Stokie Bloke it's a classic case of being a slow starter and slowly building up form in the latter part of the season (the run in).
I understand your concern about perceived lack of interest through Forum comments. For what it's worth I also run a Forum league in Spain. No where near the standard of your Euro League. And, at the end of the 5th season, I'm getting the same thoughts. But, I'll be back as I know 25% of the 20 managers are lurkers, never saying a word. Probably only 5% are fully active on the thread. The remainder are dependant on the few for information. For my league managers it's a little bit of Premier League contact in a foreign land.
I can't begin to give you advice as the Euro League is a whole different ball game then what I'm running. You do a super job and I'm sure it's much appreciated by the silent 'many'.
Only you can make the decision to continue. smile.gif
