Viviani and Nizzolo did well, but Kittel is killing us sofar.

Nizzolo will pay dividends in the second half of the race. wink.gif

And Dumoulin lost his jersey. That's enough Kittel for you. Can't wait to get past these sprint stages. angry.gif

You have a rest day to further contemplate your failures. biggrin.gif

Never mind that Costa and Ivanovic go missing in my fantasy footie, in the cycling world I woke up to see this lovely news...

QUOTE
Reports coming through that Jakob Mareczko has abandoned. Mareczko would have been a contender for victory in today's finish if it comes down to a bunch sprint.

QUOTE
Dimension Data have confirmed that Omar Fraile has abandoned the race due to the injuries he sustained in a crash yesterday. That will be a big blow to the team who would have hoped that Fraile could take the mountains classification jersey as he did at last year's Vuelta a Espana. He did, however, wear it for one day after getting in the break on stage 2.

Mareczko was a risk, but Fraile would have done well in the mountains.

Bother! sad.gif

Ouch! And I was just thinking yesterday how luckily we all avoided an early stage disaster. Good thing you have padded your lead so far though. biggrin.gif

Enough with the niceties. Let's get him Broadie. We'll never hear the end of it if he manages to maintain his lead.

I was cursing all day 'cos I thought BRFC had Wellens.

Happy to get home and see I was mistaken.

broadview gets some points! biggrin.gif

Nibali didn't look too hot today. Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

Kittel!

What bad luck. sad.gif

I really needed him to get more points...cos he won't be around much longer, and then we see Nizzolo do his thing. angry.gif

Still waiting on today's points. Only Modolo in the points for the stage finish for me, but I have several in good positions on the GC table.

Tour of California starts Sunday, and there is a very impressive start list. Velogames competition is open. Same style game but without the rider classes.

Some good sprinters in Cali.

Not much in the way of decent GC riders, though.

I'll follow the race, but won't be doing the fantasy. If you play, post your team. wink.gif

Doom had a bad day.

I wonder how much he has in the tank for the ITT tomorrow?

Big shake up today. I briefly looked at including Brambilla, maybe I should have given him a longer look. biggrin.gif

Ok, I was thinking of skipping this one, but you motivated me. My team is entered. thumbsup.gif

At least I'll be able to catch this one live as the finishes are often still on TV when I get home from work.

Bad luck, but I don't like these sprinters who have no real intention of riding out the entire Giro. He has done very well for you in the first week. I see BRFC lost Viviani as well.

Cancellara has already been surpassed early in this TT today - he was done before the TV coverage began. Might be a wasted pick on my part. I hope he sticks it out until the last TT at stage 15.

Cancellara remains in 4th. Heavy rains are really hindering the later starters!

This isn't really a sprinter-friendly route, so I figured on getting someone in to get me stage wins.

He did ok, and could easily have had 3.

I'm most annoyed by Fraile disappearing. He would definitely have done well in the mountains.

What happened with Doom today? Was it just the bad weather that cost him?

Nice. smile.gif
